Business Support Administrator (Cambridge Investment Management Limited)
Closing Date: 28 January 2020
Cambridge Investment Management Limited (CIML) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Cambridge that manages financial assets of around £3.5 billion on behalf of the University, Cambridge Trusts and certain Colleges. Our primary function is to maximise the total return from the University's investments, in a sustainable way. Key to building upon our early success will be the provision of a comprehensive, efficient and reliable support service for CIML’s business systems (excluding HR). We are looking to recruit a proactive and self-motivated individual to support the Cambridge based team in the role of Business Support Administrator.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Business Support Administrator will be responsible for managing the daily requirements of the Cambridge Investment Office, which includes liaising with colleagues at the University to ensure the efficient processing of financial and IT matters, managing communications and delivering a welcoming Front of House service to guests. We will look to you to provide an expert administrative and accounting support service to CIML colleagues; developing, implementing and maintaining offices procedures and processes, maintaining an electronic filing system for departmental matters as well as the processing of invoices and employee expenses. You will build a strong working relationship with the Executive Assistant in the London Office and will ensure that any efficiencies across the two locations are achieved with regards to the procurement of supplies and the liaison with landlords and contractors for minor works.
Ideally educated to degree level, you will have demonstrable experience in business support or office management and experience of finance administration. Key to your success in this role will be your attention to detail and excellent organisational skills along with the ability to prioritise your workload to respond to relevant (and sometimes conflicting) deadlines. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with colleagues at all levels.
In return, CIML can offer a competitive remuneration package, including bonus, pension and medical insurance.
If you are interested in an informal conversation about the role, please contact Liz Allan, HR Director on 07920 492244. Further particulars are available from Sophie Hinton-Lever, Executive Assistant at sophie.hinton-lever@admin.cam.ac.uk. . Applicants should submit a CV and covering letter exploring their suitability for the role to Sophie by close of business on Thursday 28 January 2021.
CIML values diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from all parts of the University and its’ associated entities.
